SUMMARY:September Open 2025 - 13th and 14th September
DESCRIPTION:Come and experience dinghy sailing in stunning Northumberland\, and join us for our annual open this September \nThis year\, we welcome back the ILCA’s to Kielder for their Lakeland & Border Series (Saturday 13th Sept). This event will also incorporate a Catapult Class open\, and we will also host a general handicap event\,open to all other dinghy classes with PY handicaps. \nOn the water: \n6 Races – 5 to count \nFirst race @ 12:30pm on Saturday (13th) \n3 x races planned per day \nSeparate Starts for ILCA\, Catapults & Handicap Classes \nOn Shore: \nFree camping for tents around the clubhouse \nOnsite space for camper vans / caravans \nThe galley will be open throughout the weekend for snacks & sandwiches.  Our bar will also be open all weekend \nSaturday Evening – we invite you to a bring your own BBQ \nFurther Details: \nNOR \nSI’s – Info to follow \nEntries – Registration can be done on the day

SUMMARY:Dam to Dam Open
DESCRIPTION:Come and join us for our Dam to Dam Open event\nThe iconic Dam to Dam challenge returns in 2024.  This is a 2 day long distance racing open event\, across the full length of Kielder Water – the UK’s largest man made reservoir.  The event is also open to all handicap classes with a PY under 1400 \nOn the water:\n\n2 long distance races (1 per day)\nFirst race @ 1pm on Sunday 5th May\nMass start for all competitors\n\nOn Shore:\n\nFree camping for tents – although it is first come\, first serve.\nPlease be aware that space onsite at the sailing club will be limited for camper vans & caravans – there is a public car park next to the sailing club where  tickets can be purchased from the visitor center on arrival.
